Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space starting from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses and space tourism. Kristin was born into the space sector as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. For the last five years, she has been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations on FOX News. Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. The extensive trips she took with the Vice President and the President included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan that she made along with Donald Trump. Before joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin made use of her experiences in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films and was a favorite of corporate clients such as Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
